BookDibs is an easy-to-use, central location for college students to sell their books locally. Until now the only services available to students were high-priced bookstores, and online vendors who greedily took a percentage of your sale. Who wants to get $15 back for a book they spent $80 on? We know we don’t! BookDibs eliminates those inconveniences by offering a FREE service, allowing you as a buyer, or as a seller, to keep more money by dealing directly with other students. The site works like a virtual bulletin board, allowing you to advertise all the books you have for sale to your college campus and beyond. Here are some of the benefits you will find by using BookDibs:

  •   Easy-to-use central location for us to list our books; no need to post flyers on campus!
  •   Sellers receive more money for their books, on the spot, at time of purchase!
  •   Buyers are able to save lots of money, bypassing the bookstore and online vendors! 
  •   Using the “Dibs” option, you can post books for future sale, as soon as you buy them!         
  •   Search conveniently by author, title, ISBN, course number, course title, or Professor!

To get started simply click the join button and register for your FREE account. Make sure to fill our all your information correctly; this will be the only way to ensure a potential buyer can contact you directly.  After logging in you will be taken to a ‘List Books’ page where you can list as many books that you would like to sell. You can edit or delete a listing at any time by going to your ‘My Account’ page and clicking on the ‘Books I’ve Listed’ tab. To search for books simply go to the homepage and select the ‘Find Books’ button found under Glen “the geek”, our mascot. You can find your school by clicking on a state from the map, which will allow you to search locally, or you may search our whole database of schools. After findings the books you want, you have two options: a) you can contact the buyer by email or phone and schedule a time to meet b) if the book is listed ‘Up for Dibs’ then you have the option to call “Dibs!” on that book, giving you the right to purchase it when it becomes available. This is a great option for students that know their schedules in advance, and want to get the best deals possible.
